Contributions to this project placed a Springs Eternal exhibit catalog in the hands of a Florida lawmaker. WE REACHED OUR GOAL! THANK YOU.

Florida is home to the world's largest and most impressive array of freshwater springs. But under the withering assault of groundwater overpumping, nutrient pollution and regulatory neglect, our springs are imperiled. Some have stopped flowing and many are choked with algae, their blue waters turning murky and green. Once a source of awe, our springs are now a source of deep concern, their future unclear.

What the Florida Springs Institute shows with scientific data, John Moran reveals photographically. His 30-year collection of springs photographs is featured in the Springs Eternal: Florida's Fragile Fountain of Youth exhibit, currently on display at the Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville.

Moran's pictures chronicle the story of our springs--their beauty, their ecology, and the people who are drawn to them, body and soul. The exhibit also focuses unflinchingly on the changes that many of us have seen with a collection of then-and-now photos that offer compelling evidence that we are a long way from "getting the water right" here in Florida.

The Florida Springs Institute is partnering with Springs Eternal Project partners John Moran, Lesley Gamble and Rick Kilby to print 500 oversized Springs Eternal exhibit catalogs to deliver to every Florida legislator, water management district governing board member, the Governor and DEP secretary, and other key state and local decision makers.

The survival of our springs depends on public advocacy. Our springs are world-class treasures. They deserve world-class protection. You can be a voice for our springs. Please support this Project.
