Humane Society-Calumet Area Inc

Every year thousands of animals homeless, orphaned, or injured animals are admitted to Humane Society Calumet Area's Adoption and Intake Centers and Moraine Ridge Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in need of food, shelter, and medical care.

Zeus' Road to Recovery

When Zeus arrived at HSCA, he was malnourished at 69 lbs, heartworm positive, and most of all, scared. Thanks to your support, Zeus now weighs a healthy 94 lbs and is on the road to a full recovery both physically and emotionally, with the help of HSCA staff and his loving family. Zeus is healthy and strong because of you!

Barred Owl Rescue

This barred owl was found in Lowell last September grounded by a fractured wing. We believe it was attacked by a great Horned Owl, thier natural predators. The owl would have died in the wild without the care your support provides at Moraine Ridge Wildlife!

Little Lady's New Life

 Little Lady arrived at HSCA nearly bald from demodectic mange. She was itchy and scared. Thanks to your support, she received medication and tender loving care. Her fur grew back, and now she is the sweet, social, spunky girl she was meant to be. She now has a loving home because of you!

A Merlin's Second Chance

 You helped save this merlin's life! He was found with a fractured wing in Morocco, Ind. Without the support of donors like you, he would not have survived the winter. The merlin is a small falcon that spends the summer in Canada and migrates to Central and South American for the winter.
