Humane Society of Utah

The Humane Society of Utah (HSU) is the state’s largest independent nonprofit animal shelter organization, dedicated to improving the lives of pets and the people who love them. Each year, HSU provides care, medical treatment, and second chances to thousands of animals through adoption, foster programs, and community services. From lifesaving spay/neuter surgeries to behavior support and pet retention resources, our work is focused on keeping pets in homes and helping more animals find their way there.

HSU is committed to saying “yes” to animals in need—regardless of age, health, or circumstance. With the support of our community, we’re able to expand access to veterinary care, reduce pet overpopulation, and create innovative programs like Doggy Day Out and short-term foster opportunities that help animals thrive. Every donation fuels this mission, helping us build a more compassionate Utah for both pets and people.
