2022 has proven to be a year of breaking records for the Humane Society of Richland County. We have seen more stray and abandoned cats in our shelter, more pregnant and nursing mothers, and more orphaned kittens. In addition, our humane agents have handled some extraordinary neglect cases, one involving the removal of 17 dogs from an uninhabitable home. And that was only one case.

What remains consistent is our commitment to this community and the animals that reside here. Our mission is to advocate and compassionately care for the abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in our community until we can find them loving homes. Our work is nowhere near being done.

Every year, Richland County Foundation generously offers this platform to deserving non-profits like ours to help raise critically needed funds.  Every. Dollar. Counts.  When you donate to The Humane Society of Richland County, every dollar raised stays right here at our facility in Richland County Ohio.  We are not affiliated with the Humane Society of the United States, the ASPCA, or the Richland County Dog Warden's Office (which is funded through the county government), and we receive no government assistance.  Our donations come from YOU, our supporters.

This year, Giving Tuesday is starting a little early.  Beginning November 14th and running through Giving Tuesday on November 29th, this campaign will provide much needed assistance to some very deserving animals.

Animals make our lives better. They deserve passionate and committed advocates who work tirelessly to make their lives better too. Thank you for your continued support.  We wish you good health and happiness.
