Human Error Publishing produces performance venues for creative expression in spoken word. We welcome anyone who has something to say, a story to tell, and the courage to stand up and express themselves.

Human Error Publishing dreamed up and produces the Greenfield Annual Word Festival, now planning it's 7th year. This years festival took place in multiple venues over six days, the GAWF brought 150 poets and writers to the microphone in Greenfield. Video from that festival can be seen on youtube.

For three years Human Error Publishing has designed, installed and hosted ground-breaking spoken word performance space at the Garlic and Arts Festival in Orange, MA; bringing poets into the light of day where they can be heard by some of the ten thousand festival goers. The innovative Word Stage has gained a reputation for it's welcoming atmosphere, enjoyed by poets and audiences alike.

Over the last ten years Human Error Publishing has produced and coordinated ongoing monthly poetry gatherings with open mics and featured readers in Greenfield, Wendell and other locations throughout the Pioneer Valley. We continue to develop special occasion word celebrations, with Valentine's Day, Memorial Day, and December end-of-year readings, to name a few.

Writers who have taken the stage at Human Error events range in age from 10 to 93. Some have never said their poems aloud before, some have traveled the world performing and teaching. Poets who have met at Human Error events have developed ongoing collaborative projects that bridge cultures and continents with spoken word. One teenage poet brought her whole family to hear her when she took the stage; until that day her mother had not known she wrote poems.

People tell us after shows that they are surprised by how much they enjoy hearing poetry in live performance. These events give visitors and locals a chance to enjoy words crafted by poets, spoken word artists, and writers from near and far.

Working together, we have put Greenfield on the literary map with an Annual Festival and monthly events. Human Error Publishing gives stage time to writers of all ages and at all levels of experience; from those just finding their voice to well-seasoned authors who have published books, won awards, been on tours, and make their living from their craft of writing and performing.

We gratefully welcome your donations which help fund these and other open-to-all Word events produced throughout the year. Our goal is to contribute financially to support spoken word artists for their work.
