Hungry for Music Inc

 

Since 1994, the small but mighty Hungry for Music has been providing musical instruments to individual children who can't afford them as well as to underfunded schools, community programs, social service agencies, and orphanages.  In both 2014 and 2015, we donated over 500 new and gently used instruments in the Washington, D.C. area, across the country, and internationally.  Our mission, says Founder and Executive Director Jeff Campbell, is "to give the gift of music to those kids with a hunger to play, but do not have the means to do so."

Donation sites last year include Bridges Across Borders (Magdalena, Mexico), Jazz Tyme Music Project (Washington, D.C.), Junior Appalachian Musicians (North and South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia), Austin, Texas Public School System, and Girls Rock Camp (Portland, OR).Intonation Music Workshop (Chicago), Rock to the Future (Philadelphia), Roots of Music (New Orleans), Ozark Mountain Music (Branson, MO), and many more.
