The Foundation was born out of the community movement to save the historic Huntridge Theatre located at 1208 E. Charleston Blvd., off of Maryland Pkwy. The theatre, built in 1944, is an iconic landmark to some of the original downtown Las Vegas neighborhoods and reflects the rich art and culture of our town's rise to glory.

We are preserving the theatre's legacy through research and documentation of people's shared memorabilia and archives. We conduct oral history interviews that capture the historic significance of the theatre, in both its original glamour and most raw moments. Check out our latest exhibition on display now through May at Clark County Library, on Flamingo, just east of Maryland Parkway.

We advocate for the theatre's preservation to our local and state elected officials. We have a goal to acquire the theatre for public ownership with the help of our Nevada Legislature this year. We are also advocating to put the theatre on the City's local register for historic places to further protect the building.

We need your help to fully tell the theatre's story and  to save the Huntridge Theatre-- the people's theatre!
