I Dance Because

I Dance Because is a full-service non profit organization, 501-C (3) that specializes in the development of academic, social and emotional needs of at-risk youth and their parents, through the healing power of dance and movement. I Dance Because has been designed to equip participants with the necessary social and emotional skills to live an excellent life. Every experience and transition is a journey of transformation, I Dance Because wants to show that the journey is more important than the destination. It’s about the work; it’s about sharing our stories and the healing that comes from sharing them. The dance comes from a creative place, from the shared story, or lesson learned, and when you are creative you can never be stopped.
