Inland Counties Legal Services (ICLS) pursues justice and equality for low-income people through counsel, advice, advocacy, and community education, treating all with dignity and respect.

ICLS has provided free civil legal services to communities across the Inland California region helping keep them housed, employed, naturalized, free from violence, and enrolled in vital public benefits and health care programs for more than 60 years. We've grown from our humble beginnings as a 100% volunteer-attorney led organization with a single location in Riverside, to become the largest, most comprehensive civil legal services provider in our region. ICLS has nine specialized legal practice groups that include Housing, Health Law, Immigration, Consumer, Elder Law, Public Benefits/Education, Family Law/Domestic Violence, and Systemic/Impact Litigation. Last year ICLS provided direct legal services to more than 10,350 people in need, impacting 27,000+ throughout our service area.

Our work in communities is enriched through our many collaborations. ICLS's Pro Bono volunteer attorney program has more than 150 attorneys assisting on guardianship, small business, LGBTQ+, and expungement projects donating more than 4,000 hours every year. Many services are provided in partnership with other community-based organizations at locations convenient to clients. In Coachella Valley, ICLS provides onsite legal clinics at Palm Springs Courthouse, High Desert Courts, and the Coachella Library. Our dedicated attorneys practice in every local jurisdiction throughout the region to help meet the needs of residents.
