In-Country Vietnam Veterans Association

A nonprofit organization

To perpetuate the positive image of the Vietnam theatre veteran through community and public service, educating/informing the public on issues relating to the military history of the Vietnam War, recognizing and honoring the Vietnam veteran's service and sacrifice, and providing comradery for Vietnam veterans and their supporters.

Founded in 1996 by a group of veterans who recognized while there were veteran groups that served the Vietnam-era veteran, little support was available for American and South Vietnamese military veterans who had uniquely served in-country in the theatre of operations in Vietnam between 1959 and 1975. The membership has designed and built and maintains monuments, including Arizona's Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Phoenix, conducted Stand-Downs to aid homeless veterans, established the annual Vietnam Remembrance Day to commemorate the end of the war, advocates for VA medical services and disability eligibility, provides grants to not-for-profit organizations that directly serve veterans and children, assigns uniformed color guards for veteran recognition events, and produces a newsletter to membership,
