ITNGateway

ITNGateway has only one focus - which is to provide transportation to seniors (60+) and adults (21+) with visual impairment in St. Charles and St. Louis Counties plus adults (21+) with disabilities in St. Charles County for any reason. Customers go to a variety of places including medical appointments, churches, libraries, stores, schools, hair salons, banks, employment, etc. ITNGateway's greatest asset is its personalized service provided by volunteers and part-time paid dirvers. Many friendships have developed between riders and drivers.
ITNGateway's service is unique because:
• Service is door-through-door, arm-through-arm service
• Service is personalized. Screened and trained volunteers or paid drivers provide the customers with more than just a ride, but also with a friendly hand to help with packages, open doors, and even lend an arm
• Service is available 24/7
• Private cars are used, not commercial vans or buses
• Riders sit in the front seat with the drivers
• There are no restrictions on trip purpose, frequency or destination in the service area
• Trained volunteers deliver 50-60% of our rides reducing our costs
• No money changes hands in the vehicles, and customers receive a monthly itemized statement
• The fare is about half the true cost of each ride - $1.50 per mile with a $2.50 pick-up (about 30-40% less than a taxi). There are no vehicle wait charges and no tipping.
