Idaho Art Lab

We are a volunteer run visual art organization, full of passionate artists, business leaders and parents who feel that everyone deserves to have the Arts as part of their daily life. 

We are a large community art center in a small town, giving our rural community a better quality of life, a chance to discover a part of themselves they might otherwise never find, an opportunity to connect with other like-minded individuals ... to work together to create the future we all want for ourselves and our children. 

We are a maker space, providing 14 art labs for the community to create in.  There are no membership fees and no fees to enter the Idaho Art Lab.  Come when you feel inspired!  We have drop-in, hourly rental use of Labs for Pottery, Sculpture, Ceramic Mold Casting, Lost Wax Casting, Scroll Saw Woodworking, Lapidary Stone Cutting & Polishing, Gemstone Faceting, Block Printing, Screen Printing, Vacuum Forming, Cartoon Animation, Computer Arts, Photography Darkroom and Paper Arts.  We provide on-demand art instruction in all of theseart mediums.

The community room has a Creation Station for the whole family.  Give a donation ($ or craft supplies, whatever you can afford) and have fun creating with bins of donated craft items like ribbons, pom poms and googly eyes as well as paper, crayons, watercolors, rulers, scissors and glue.

We offer an Artist-in-Residence and an Art Directors Exchange program at the Lab.  The facility has a full kitchen, a shower, and a bedroom with a private entrance.  These by-invite program brings in talented artists from around the world to stay at the Lab.  For every week stay of their 1 - 3 week residency, the artist provides 4 hours of community programming.  Workshop attendance is by donation.  This allows underprivileged artists a chance to learn from well known artists.

The Yellowstone Teton Gallery of Art is in the Idaho Art Lab's facility.  The exhibits are changed every 4 - 6 weeks.  Local artists and young aspiring artists are encouraged to exhibit their original works in the Gallery.  Donations provide the framing of young artists works to give them their first full gallery experience.
