Our mission is to educate our community and enrich its quality of life  by promoting, advocating, and presenting a broad spectrum of visual and performing art in eastern Idaho.

Our focus for Idaho Gives 2016 is ARTitorium on Broadway!

The Idaho Falls Arts Council opened ARTitorium on Broadway in 2014 in order to expand our visual arts offerings for children. ARTitorium’s mission is to engage children in art experiences that are meaningful, entertaining, sometimes noisy, and always fun. We do this through field trips, art classes, and a variety of interactive stations. Current attractions include a virtual gallery of over 300 artworks from important national collections, creation stations with unique art-making software, a green screen studio, stop-motion animation stations, iPad kiosks running LightBot programming software, music composition software, and a light table. Over 10,000 elementary students have participated in our field trips to date. Our field trips are built around a specific theme and can be customized to fit almost any subject or curriculum need. Each trip includes a detailed lesson in ARTitorium’s MC Theater with time for discussion, a group or individual art activity, followed by time to play. We offer a broad range of art classes, from low cost, drop-in classes over the summer to four-week themed programs that teach the fundamentals of art and design through exciting topics such as monsters, medieval buildings, and math. Over 1,500 kids ages 5 through 13 have participated in our classes so far and we often have to offer additional classes in order to answer the high demand.
