Idaho Immunization Coalition

How did we start?
The Idaho Immunization Coalition (IIC) was formed in 2008 as an assembly of statewide stakeholders dedicated to promoting health and preventing serious illness through immunization protection of all Idahoans.

What do we do?
Today the IIC is working towards building a more effective statewide organization through building strong partnerships, engaging in community-based efforts, serving as a resource for immunization education and information, and promoting access to immunizations for all Idahoans. 

Who are we?
Our membership base is diverse and inclusive because we believe in people working together to sustain local coalition efforts and community-based support for immunizations. From members, stakeholders, to partners across the state, we are 3000 people strong, enabling us to be a proud organization leading various immunization activities in Idaho. The IIC is an independent non-profit organization with one staff member.

How will your donation help us?
Your proceeds will go toward diverse activities, projects, and events all across Idaho in immunization-related advocacy, education, and outreach.

What do we do for Idaho?
In January of 2016, a partnership between the IIC and the ISU School of Pharmacy held a meningitis B campaign which included a social media competition, vaccinations at no cost, and education to college students.

In between 2013 and 2014, the IIC sponsored a statewide meningitis vaccination campaign across several Idaho university campuses, providing vaccinations to over 4,000 students at no cost to them.

Since 2013, the IIC has been hosting the Idaho Immunization Summit each year. These large scale educational conferences provide timely and accurate immunization information to healthcare providers and community members to better serve their communities in addition to building useful skillsets in communication, coalition-building, etc. We invite both nationally and regionally renown subject matter experts as our speakers so we can provide top quality education for all of our attendees.

Throughout the year, the IIC partners up with local schools to support FluMist clinics around the state.  

We actively participate in community events, provide timely updates through regular newsletters and emails to our members, and develop resources for the community.

Some of our IIC members are available to testify on legislation, to provide immunization expertise for individuals and the media, and to provide accurate immunization information to providers and the general public.

The IIC promotes lifespan immunization, covering childhood, adolescent, and adult immunization. We adhere to our vision to promote immunizations, prevent disease, and protect all Idahoans.
