In 2016, only 1 in 5 Idahoans in poverty will receive civil legal assistance when their most basic human needs are at stake.

You can make a difference by donating to Idaho Legal Aid. Your support will be used to help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, children, seniors, migrant workers, Native Americans, and other vulnerable Idaho citizens receive the legal assistance they need to live safe, healthy, and happy lives.

You will be helping people like "Sarah," a young mother desperate to protect her son from his abusive father; "Roger," a disabled widower facing eviction and possible homelessness; and "Gloria," who moved here to make a better life, only to have her employer consistently refuse to pay her for the long hours she worked milking cows on a rural dairy.

Each one of these stories has a happy ending. Sarah has sole custody of her son, Roger lives in a comfortable apartment that he can afford, and Gloria received full payment for the hours she worked and was able to secure a new job with an employer who is fair. It might not seem like much, but access to these basic necessities is everything to our clients.
