Your contributions make Idaho Public Television available and accessible to viewers of all ages and abilities, in just about every community throughout the Gem State. Donors who support our mission make it possible to provide viewers with access to the stories behind science, history, nature and public affairs.

Idaho Public Television is much more than a broadcast network. We are a multimedia hub for television and the Internet with streaming videos and content dedicated to serving Idaho and our surrounding viewing areas.  Wherever you are, IdahoPTV is there – in homes, classrooms, libraries and online.  Idaho Public Television offers viewers statewide free access to lifelong learning!

We believe that is why more people watch Idaho Public Television, per capita, than any other PBS station in the nation.

More than 98% of all Idaho households can receive our four channels free over-the-air with just an antenna.

The IDAHO channel provides international, national and local public television programming in high definition, 24 – 7.

The PLUS channel provides programming in “themes” such as science and nature, public affairs and travel, performance art, and drama.

The LEARN / CREATE channel is a haven for life-long learners and those with the creative flare for cooking, gardening, painting, sewing and much more.

The WORLD channel provides 24-hour access to news and documentaries from around the world, country and state.

Each week, Idaho Public Television broadcasts more than 70 hours of high-quality, educational children’s programs to more than 30,000 children around the state of Idaho. Our programs, both locally and nationally produced by PBS, enhance learning and stimulate interest in science, literacy, math, geography and culture.

Science Trek piques grade-schoolers’ curiosity about science and inspires them to investigate technology, engineering and math careers (17 years). Science Trek is also the most-visited section of our website, a free resource used by teachers, parents and students.

Idaho in Session offers gavel-to-gavel coverage of the legislature via the internet, including year round coverage of other meetings at the Capitol. This public service increases government transparency by airing statewide coverage of Idaho House and Senate sessions and live streaming of committee meeting and court hearings through an easily accessibly website.
