We are building Tiny Houses as part of our community's solution to homelessness.  This strategy aligns with the Housing First approach--to move homeless individuals or households immediately from the streets or homeless shelters into their own Tiny Houses and provide the dignity and stability of a home first....and THEN  to help the new residents address the necessary resources and underlying issues of their individual situations.

Tiny houses are minimal and low cost living environments.  It allows our $$ to go further, the community to provide more options,  and can multiply the number of individuals and families who can be housed from the lists of 700+ awaiting housing in Boise.

Our mission is to build the first prototype houses (at a cost of approximately $6000 each), to create the first "micro-community" in Boise, and to begin to replicate the successes of similar, growing communities in Madison, WI, Seattle WA, and Eugene, OR.
