The Idaho Falls Community Outreach Center (COC) is a 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to assisting those in need in our community.  The COC provides space for several social service agencies, which allows them to dedicate their funds entirely to helping those in need.  Agencies currently housed by the COC include:   
     • The Soup Kitchen 
     • Community Literacy Council 
     • Emergency Housing Exchange (EHE) 
     • Friends in Service Here (FISH) 
     • FREEMED 
     • Partners for the Prosperity

Each year, through the COC and its partner agencies, more than 45,000 meals are served at the Soup Kitchen, more than 4000 prescriptions are obtained for low income individuals at a savings of more than $2.1 million per year, more than 600 needy families receive almost $60,000 in assistance for items not funded by food stamps, more than 450 children are provided necessary school supplies, and almost 700 volunteers are able to focus directly on assisting those in need in our community rather than focusing on fundraising.

The COC also organizes an annual Alternate Giving Fair, which brings together more than 20 different local charities in a coordinated fundraising effort. Over the past 7 years, the event has raised more than $100,000 for area charities. 

The COC is operated by a volunteer board of directors.  Therefore, ther are no administrative costs -- 100% of donations go directly to accomplishing the COC mission.  We operate entirely through donations, grants, and fundraisers, relying upon the local community, businesses, and organizations.
