Igda Foundation

The IGDA Foundation has performed charitable, scientific and educational works since 2006, thanks to the generous support of people like you.  We focus on providing resources to the game development community, from creating educational opportunities for students, to ensuring that groups around the world are able to come together and help each other.

Education - The IGDA Foundation supports students aspiring to join the games industry through our world-renowned IGDA Scholarship program and the Eric Dybsand Memorial AI Scholarship. These scholarships provide top students with a unique opportunity to attend premier industry events including GDC San Francisco, E3, and GDC Europe. Our scholars receive mentorship from industry veterans, meetings with senior industry figures and much more. 

Community - One of our core beliefs is that game developers are better through shared understanding. As such we support developer communities around the world and provide resources for them to better share their knowledge. Additionally, we support the mission of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) by helping to fund the projects being undertaken by the IGDA community around the world. We do this by offering grants to the IGDA's Chapters and Special Interest Groups to assist with specific projects that will be of benefit to developers. The community brings specific initiatives to us, large and small, and from there we can provide aid. Whether that means assisting IGDA Boston to replace a burnt out projector bulb or providing funds for IGDA Vietnam to purchase a camcorder so the content of their meetings could be shared with remote members (as well as the global IGDA community), we're eager to empower developers to help make a difference.
