Idaho Hunters Feeding the Hungry Inc

-  Idaho Hunters Feeding the Hungry(IHFH) has partnered with the Idaho Food Bank to bring big game meat into the food bank system.  IHFH is a nonprofit organization built on the ancient tradition of hunters supplying food for their family, village or community. A recent Idaho Food Bank statewide request for interest in receiving wild game for distribution produced a response from over 40 pantries in 19 counties within the state. The next step is to find local processor near each of the pantries and then hunters that wish to support those communities. Protein, specifically red meat, is the least available food item for local food banks and pantries.  IFHF is committed to help fill that void with Idaho’s nutritional big game meat. Big wild game animals include mammals such as deer, reindeer, caribou, elk, moose, antelope and bison.  Hunters, pantry organizers and processors are asked to contact Idaho Hunters Feeding the Hungry to learn more about the program.  Information is available at www.ihfh.org
