At the Imagination Library of San Antonio, we believe every child deserves the gift of books and the joy of reading. Our mission is to mail free, high-quality books directly to children’s homes every month from birth to age five—building home libraries (of up to 60 books!), nurturing early literacy, and helping families share the love of stories together. By growing readers from the very beginning, we’re working toward a future where every child in San Antonio has the tools to learn, dream, and thrive.

We are making great things happen in our community TODAY and have mailed over 1,200 books to local children. Magic happens when children receive a book in the mail just for them: board books are for stacking, reading, and playing, while bright illustrations and fun stories engage older children. What sets Dolly's books apart? Curated by Dolly’s experienced librarians, these books capture themes and ideas that speak to every family.

Our partnerships with HEB Read3, AVANCE Head Start, San Antonio Public Library, and San Antonio ISD help us enroll eligible children in Dolly's incredible book gifting program, inspiring early literacy and a love of reading.
