Imagine Englewood if...

Imagine Englewood if...(IEi) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been serving the Greater Englewood community since 1997. IEi offers year-round enrichment programs for youth ages 6-18 who reside in or attend school in the Englewood and West Englewood neighborhoods.  We provide tutoring, fun-learning activities, and academic growth in our Imagination Explorers: After-School program. In 2021 alone, our organization was able to:

• created a safe space for 70-75 youth  Monday-Friday in our Kids On The Move Summer Camp - taking the youth around the Chicagoland area on 10+ field trips and fun-learning adventures over a 7 week period. 
• raise $15,000 in scholarships being awarded to Englewood youth going away to HBCUs at Englewood Stomp The Yard Event - IEi giving away $5,000 to a rising senior pre-med biology major at Jackson State on track to be a doctor with dreams of improving health care in Englewood
• partner with Lindblom this summer to have 120 teenagers clean up trash on 12+ blocks in West Englewood 
• mentor eight youth in our Growing Citizen Leaders program leading a gun violence prevention campaign that has already engaged 500+ people to join a united front to stop gun violence in our community
