The Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC) is one of the country’s foremost experts on immigration law and policy, helping immigrants improve access to American civic life since 1979. The mission of the ILRC is to work with and educate immigrants, community organizations, and the legal sector to continue building a democratic society that values diversity and the rights of all people.

Through national and statewide collaborations, the ILRC leads efforts to increase best practices to help keep families together. We provide resources for complex immigration law and advocate for immigrant rights through our program areas, which include policy and advocacy, civic engagement, and capacity building.

Our policy work focuses on immigration reform and Department of Homeland Security policies.

We engage immigrants in mobilizing and raising their voices on issues critical to their communities.

We provide technical legal assistance, training, and publications to immigration law practitioners and community-based organizations.
