The Impact Fund stands up for ordinary people to protect their jobs, their families and their communities.

Whether it’s the detention cells known as “iceboxes” used by the Department of Homeland Security or uranium mining in South Dakota that will destroy the environment and threaten the groundwater of ancient Native-American communities, we’re here to say “enough.” With your support, the Impact Fund was able to make grants to help these people and many others who suffer injustice at the hands of big business and small-minded government.

Together, we can be successful. With victories this year in a gender discrimination case against Costco, an equal pay for equal work suit for Hispanic workers at a grocery chain in Arizona and a disability rights case against Taco Bell, we have improved the lives of tens of thousands, nationwide. Yes, your support has made a real difference. Thank you!

Success in these cases didn’t happen overnight. It took many years of careful stewardship. Persistence has paid off, but vigilance is the key. The forces we counter are powerful, wealthy and entrenched: always poised to roll back advances in social justice.

That’s why, for the past 22 years, the Impact Fund has been equipping the warriors, the watchdogs and the whistleblowers to stand up for the 99%. We’re ‘all in’ for the many battles still to be fought and, with your support, won. With a time-tested and successful strategy of grants, education and advocacy, the Impact Fund is the bulwark against discrimination.

Your gift of $15, $25, $35, $55, $100, $250 or more, is the fuel that drives our work. That’s why I invite you to think about the kind of world you would like to live in and then, to make a gift to the Impact Fund so that, together, we can help create such a world.

Yours truly,

Jocelyn D. Larkin

Executive Director
