Independence Care System

Independence Care System's (ICS) mission is to help people with disabilities and chronic conditions remain healthy and independent, at home, in their communities.

For over 20 years, we have been dedicated to serving New Yorkers with physical disabilities through partnership, respect, and expertise that empowers our members, their families, and caregivers. Every day, we collaborate with the service providers and advocates who work on our members' behalf. 

Today, ICS is the only "health home" program in New York State with disability-expert staff and programs designed to promote the health and independence of people with spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, and other disabilities their limit their mobility.

Our wide range of services include:

• specialized care management;


• wheelchair assessments and repairs;


• social and wellness programs;


• peer-to-peer coaching in life skills;


• and advocacy opportunities to make members' voices heard.
