India Home is dedicated to addressing the needs of the South Asian and Indo-Carribbean immigrant older adult community in Queens & across NYC and helping these elders age with dignity through providing culturally competent social, psychological, recreational, and spiritual services. 

We have grown a lot in the last two years, from our services to our staffing, - and we're very thankful to generous supporters like YOU for making this possible!

In 2022, India Home opened two new centers: Satyanarayan Mandir Temple center and Hindu Center in Woodside and Flushing, Queens. We hosted our first ever Intergenerational Cruise in honor of Grandparents Day, where nearly 270 seniors, their families, and India Home staff and celebrated together with fun festivities and food. Since February 2023, we have also started operating our Desi Senior Center from 3 to now 5-days a week, which is attended by up to 300 seniors weekly! 

Starting in mid-May 2023, we are also launching our 3D Desi Dementia Daycare & Caregiver Support Services Program - this is New York city's first dementia & respite care program culturally tailored to meet the needs of South Asian seniors struggling with dementia/ related cognitive health illnesses and their Caretakers.

We are also proud to continue providing direct services including in-person and virtual yoga, mental health sessions, health lectures, dance, arts & crafts activities and more - and this time at a larger scale! In 2022, India Home provided 7,900+ Halal/ Vegetarian Home delivered meals, 7,400+ Congregate meals, 23,000+ units of Creative Aging & Exercises programming, and served 1000+ seniors with case management services.

None of these milestones could have been achieved without YOUR generosity. Today, more than 1,500 registered seniors are served at India Home, and they're counting on your support to help these programs continue moving forward.
