Mission

inD Theatre seeks to inspire social change by producing independent theatrical events. It promotes the craft of delivering two-dimensional text into sound and meaning by supporting and compensating theatre artists with passion. Minimalist productions and creative selection of venues allow the organization to advance the belief that art experiences should be accessible to all community members. Performances are always presented without a fee for admission.

Description

inD Theatre produces independent theatrical events, shaped by three guiding principles:

1) All shows are free.
Every artist involved in our performances is compensated for the value they create, from director and crew to actors and musicians.

2) All artists are paid.
Every artist involved in our performances is compensated for the value they create, from director and crew to actors and musicians.

3) We work for change.
Theatre matters because it has the power to make the world a better place. That's why we made it our mission to produce shows that promote social change.

inD Theatre is a Washington State nonprofit corporation that is fiscally sponsored by Shunpike. Shunpike is Shunpike is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that provides independent arts groups in Washington State with the services, resources, and opportunities they need to forge their own paths to sustainable success. All donations to inD Theatre are processed by Shunpike and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
