INGALLS 1894 ASSOCIATION

A nonprofit organization

$5,575 raised by 41 donors

In 1894, it started with a vision. A vision to establish a library for the town of Rindge to offer the residents a place to socialize, learn, conduct business and educate their children.

Rodney Wallace presented a proposal to fund a town library to be supported by the town and community.  A library was constructed in 1894 - 1895 in memory of his wife Sophia Ingalls Wallace.  The library was dedicated in 1895 to Thomas Ingalls, former landowner of the property and Sophia’s father.

One hundred and twenty years later, in 2014, the Ingalls 1894 Association was established as a non profit 501 (c)(3) group to carry on the original vision.  The mission of the Ingalls 1894 is to ensure continued public access to books and other informational resources by raising money for, and otherwise assisting with, the design and construction of an addition to, and/or a renovation of the Ingalls Memorial Library.

Your contribution perpetuates the original vision of community support for Ingalls Memorial Library.  Your gift supports the future generations of library patrons.  Be a community supporter and join us today to make your mark in history.
