IELLA provides greatly needed free legal services to low income individuals in the counties of Riverside and San Bernardino in the areas of family law, tenant’s rights, restraining orders, expungements small claims, and limited civil.

Every year, since our inception in 1980, IELLA serves approximately 1,000 individuals and families, completely free of charge, who have no other place to turn for legal assistance. 

In Partnership with the Riverside and San Bernardino Courts, IELLA conducts Expungement Clinics.  Due to the economic recession, obtaining employment has become highly competitive.  Criminal dings on one's record can prevent one from re-entering society and obtaining employment.  IELLA assists qualified individuals expunge their criminal record.

In addition, IELLA has the One Step Further Program, which provides free legal document preparation and courtroom representation to teen parents in the areas of paternity, child support, visitation and protective restraining orders.
