For too many children around the world, their hope for the future is not matched by opportunity. Facing poverty, poor health, malnutrition and lack of education, living in broken families and violent communities, a generation of children is at risk.

Since 1986, INMED Partnerships for Children has built alliances with public- and private-sector partners in more than 100 countries to rescue children from the imminent and irreversible harm of disease, hunger, abuse, neglect or violence, and to prepare them to shape a brighter future for themselves and the next generation.

“Yasmine” is a single mother of a 10-year-old son. She works hard as a full-time patient care assistant with a home-based service company, but she struggles every day with a long and expensive commute. In the morning, Yasmine’s commute is fairly straightforward, as she can take public transportation – it is the afternoon commute that becomes messy. If she took public transportation to her son’s after school care, she would be late picking him up every day. Yasmine is therefore forced to take a taxi, something she can ill afford, to pick him up and then public transportation from the center back home. Additionally, Yasmine has been in transitional housing for almost two years, which means that her allotted time in that program is coming to an end. With a stable job and, with your help, reliable transport, she will be making enough to provide a stable home for her son, but she will need $2000 to help with the first month’s rent and the security deposit. Yasmine is determined to make this work, she just needs a little help to get it all rolling.

In the green column on the right hand-side of your page are more urgent needs just like this one. Designate a portion or the whole donation amount to the name of the client you are helping, or make a general donation of any amount to help all INMED's clients.

This is your opportunity to help. If unmet, the following urgent needs will alter the lives of the children and their families. Please do not allow these needs to escalate into much larger, much more expensive problems. Help us prevent the possible harm now.
