Inner Vision

Inner Vision provides drug & alcohol prevention and treatment programs for inner city youth.  We provide sports equipment, homework assistance, and computers as a means of prevention.  For treatment, we provide a six month curriculum that covers topics like drug and alcohol education, triggers and enablers, combatting peer pressure, harm reduction, anger management, how to deal with stress, relapse prevention, domestic violence and family workshops, gang prevention, and self-esteem building.  Our program is approved by Califormia Alcohol and Drug Programs (CA ADP) and is the only one of its kind that integrates the Christian principles of loving your neighbor and forgiving others as part of the broader curriculum.  Inner Vision sponsors youth group field trips to the beach, amusement park, and movies to promote a type of sober friends network for at-risk teens.

Inner Vision operates a residential recovery home for adults.  We provide court advocacy and partner with other treatment agencies in the community to assess and refer clients to programs that appropriately match their strengths and needs. 

Inner Vision strives to share love, show unconditional positive regard, and develop trust with clients.  We believe that people examine their behavior and work to change within the context of relationship.  Therefore, our staff works to embody that non-judgmental, caring relationship, a living epistle that helps inspire and facilitate behavior change.  We offer mentoring, goal setting, and one-on-one counseling.  Though founded on Christian principles, we do not openly force or endorse any one particular religion on our clients.
