211 Ventura County at Interface Children&Family Services provides critical information and assistance to those affected and those coordinating relief efforts during times of trauma and disaster in addition, to connecting community members to a vast network of health and human services statewide. Interface launched California's first 211 Call Center in 2005. Since then, Interface has supported more than 20 California counties in implementing innovative communications strategies, including 2-way texting to more than 200,000 Californians annually. Currently, 211 Ventura County provides 24/7 services in 19 California counties and one Illinois County, provides after-hours support in another two counties, and is designing a disaster-only solution in the California counties where 211 has been unavailable. Interface is Ventura County’s leading nonprofit social services agency, providing free, proven, and responsive services to address the complex physical and emotional needs of 59,000 local clients every year. Its 30 programs utilize 10 evidence-based practices to serve children, teens, adults and families who are typically low-income and struggling with poverty, domestic violence, human trafficking, homelessness, incarceration, child abuse, neglect and abandonment   Callers and texters frequently call for a multitude of referral needs: mental health, domestic violence, homelessness, human trafficking, child abuse, youth crisis, early childhood education, reentry and – increasingly – community emergencies and disasters.  To find out more visit
