The International Debate Education Association is preparing a new generation of leaders by providing training for debate clubs, networks of activists using debate to advance the cause of openness, and teachers wishing to use debate in the classroom.

By helping young people in more than 40 countries develop public speaking and debate skills while broadening their command of complex and contrversial issues, IDEA is training new generations of tolerant, critical thinkers for leadership roles in civic and political life.
