The Isaiah Foundation, a 501(c)3, runs Mountain Kids Day Camp, a week-long day camp for Idaho City community kids, ages 6 - 11.  MKDC is a faith-based camp provided for Idaho City area kids to experience typical camp activities at no charge - that's right, camp is free for all the kids!  Run completely by volunteers, the purpose of MKDC is to engage kids in activities which build self-esteem, encourage team work, provide opportunities for enrichment and positive role models.  Our goal is to have the campers experience God's love in a very real way, and to have lots of fun in the process!

Our motto is, "Sharing Faith, Showing Love, Having Fun".

As a faith-based camp, children are engaged in learning about God through Bible stories, skits, prayer, and singing.  Children spend their day in age appropriate activities such as crafts, swimming, hiking, wood working, archery, ceramics, art, and many other creative, fun activities.

We usually have approximately 80 campers and about 100 volunteers.  Many of our volunteers are local Idaho City teens.  Some of these teens are former campers who come to camp each year to give back to their community in a meaningful way as camp counselors.

Idaho City kids look forward to camp all year - it's a real highlight in their lives!

Camp is held the last week of June each year, at Camp Ivydale, a church camp we rent for a week near Idaho City.

• Mountain Kids Day Camp is free to all participants, and is open to kids of all religions.
• The high camper to couselor ratio means that for every one or two campers, there is a counselor trained to provide each child with individual attention and lots of loving support. 
• As a result, campers are lavished with love for a week.
• Most our the counselors are teens; many were previously campers themselves.
• All staff are volunteers.
• Camp has unified the community around the kids.
