Israel Chai Foundation Inc

Israel Chai Foundation is a US nonprofit (501c3) organization with an extensive network of Religious, communal, and charitable institutions catering to Jews from Israel and from abroad. 

WHO WE ARE

Israel Chai Foundation was established by Yossi & Hindel Swerdlov to create, assist and support various religious and social service projects in Israel.

OUR PROGRAMS:

EDUCATIONAL

 Shula’s Library – Shula’s Library is designed to engage entire families with a vast selection of books, activities and creative outlets that represent traditional Jewish values. It is a community jewel that inspires visitors to interact and grow together, in a warm environment of discovery and learning.

Derech Natan – In conjunction with the Kirsh foundation, ICF administers over 40 vocational laboratories located in Cheredi  Yeshivas across Israel. These laboratories enable Charedi youth to learn a trade and enter the workforce. 

SPIRITUAL

Shabbat Hospitality - Yossi & Hindel host weekly Shabbat dinners for students, loan soldiers, families and groups from abroad. Allowing participants to experience the beauty of Shabbos, create a bond with each other and get some inspiration while enjoying some delicious home cooking. 

Bar & Bat Mitzvah Program - Helping the next generation connect to their heritage with meaning and excitement, giving them the foundation necessary to enter the world as proud Jewish adults.

SOCIAL

Helping victims of terror – In conjunction with Chabad’d Terror Victims project ICF provides emotional, spiritual and financial support to victims of terror and their families as they struggle to reclaim and rebuild their lives.

IDF

In conjunction with Rabbi Danny Cohen, Chabad of Chevron, and others, ICF helps show appreciation to our soldiers serving in the IDF by organizing Bar-B-Qs, delivering fleece jackets and other supplies on an ongoing basis.

FUNDING

Our activities are financed almost entirely through donations solicited internationally.  

Israel Chai Foundation is committed to professionalism, organizational transparency, and neutrality to ensure the effectiveness of our initiatives. We are committed to making sure a maximum percentage of contributions made to our organizations are used directly to help those in need.
