OUR MISSION: Israel Lacrosse is a non-profit organization dedicated to relentlessly and strategically pursuing the goal of making lacrosse the national sport of Israel, through exponential growth.  We are committed to pushing the envelope and maximizing our resources, dedication and leadership.  We must provide programs and services which inspire participation, while supporting, encouraging and promoting the sport to the entire population of Israel through any and all available platforms.  We will utilize lacrosse as a platform to connect Diaspora Jews with Israel.  We will utilize lacrosse as a platform to bridge divided communities in our region.

OUR APPROACH:Through a "top down" approach, Israel Lacrosse has fielded men's and women's national teams to compete internationally, while inspiring hundreds of top Jewish-American coaches and players to visit and in some cases relocate to Israel to promote the sport domestically.  To date, thousands of Israeli youth have held a lacrosse stick for the first time as a result of our grassroots efforts.  Athletes commit to practicing at least two days weekly while competing in local town leagues, where principles of hard work, time management and commitment through sports are instilled.

OUR GROWTH: Israel Lacrosse was founded in 2011 with the mission of popularizing the sport in the eyes of young Israeli athletes.  There are currently over 650 youth lacrosse players across the country, with major programs in Ashkelon, Ashdod, Netanya, Tel Aviv and Ramla, as well as pilot programs in Kiriyat Gat and Haifa. The connection to athletes in the U.S. has been instrumental in this growth; thousands of pounds of lightly-used equipment has been donated through local equipment drives and delivered to Israel, for young athletes who could otherwise not afford to participate in the shared passion of lacrosse. Other initiatives, such as Service Trips, Internship programs and Volunteer projects, have provided opportunities for US-based players to contribute to our development.

OUR INITIATIVES:

Sticks for Kids. Sticks for Kids is a program that engages and empowers at-risk youth the sport of lacrosse.  The game serves as a mechanism to develop youth leadership skills, cultivate an environment of inclusivity and collaboration, and to combat feelings of isolation and apathy.

Daniel & Wendy Kraft Lacrosse Scholarship. As part of our ongoing commitment to develop homegrown lacrosse stars, Israel Lacrosse awards 16 scholarships annually to sponsor Israeli youth lacrosse players to travel abroad, to improve both their lacrosse and English skills by attending high-level lacrosse camps and tournaments.

The Israel Lacrosse Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all financial contributions are tax deductible.  Please consider supporting Israel Lacrosse to allow us to continue to develop the sport and expand our major initiatives.
