The Iyengar Yoga Association of Greater New York (IYAGNY) is a non-profit dedicated to inspiring and enabling lifelong learning and practice in the art, science, and philosophy of yoga in the tradition of living master B.K.S. Iyengar. As our primary initiative, we run the Iyengar Yoga Institutes of New York and Brooklyn where, in addition to traditional yoga classes, we host free classes for breast cancer survivors, individuals living with HIV, veterans of war, and more.

As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, we rely on the support of our members to continue our work. Membership begins at the $65 level and includes many benefits: discounts on all classes, workshops, and merchandise, advance notice for special events, and membership with the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States. We also rely largely on the generosity of our donors who become members at the $125, $250, and $500 levels or higher and enjoy additional benefits at each level. All membership and donations are tax-deductible.
