Jericho Road Episcopal Housing Initiative

Jericho Road Episcopal Housing Initiative of New Orleans is a neighborhood-based nonprofit homebuilder that provides families with healthy and energy-efficient affordable housing opportunities. We partner with neighborhood residents, organizations and businesses to create and maintain a stable and thriving community.

Jericho Road strengthens communities through affordable housing, workforce development, land stewardship, and financial wellness education. The organization has made a significant impact across Southeast Louisiana:

- Invested over $50 million in local communities.
- Developed more than 150 energy-efficient, affordable single-family homes and co-developed 263 rental units.
- Completed over 260 owner-occupied home rehabilitations.
- Assisted 150 first-time homebuyers, resulting in 54 new homeowners.
- Provided financial wellness education and healthy living workshops to more than 500 families.
- Led more than 100 service projects, contributing over 10,000 volunteer hours.
- Implemented blight reduction strategies on 25 vacant properties in Central City.
- Established Central Circle, uniting over 50 nonprofits and businesses to support community initiatives.
