Jabez Education

The Vision of Jabez Education is to empower Christian schools through consultation, administrative support, and efficient operations. From this vision, we can help you access a 5-star education for your children in three ways. We can consult with you by helping you understand and navigate the challenges involved with starting a new Christian school. We can also provide some or all of the back-office administrative support for a 5-star school for a per-student fee basis. And finally, we can partner with you to open a 5-star school at or near your location.

Our 5-Star Philosophy of Education. We are:

Christian–We believe in absolute truth and all truth is God’s truth. We seek to integrate all subjects with historical Christianity and teachings from Scripture. Our intent is to provide a clear model of biblical Christian life and worldview through our faculty and to encourage every child to develop a genuine and meaningful relationship with God through the person of Jesus Christ. Christ is our focus and foundation.

Classical-Our approach is based upon the centuries-old "Trivium" and the "Quadrivium," making up the seven Liberal Arts. Trivium means “the place where three roads meet” in Latin. It consists of grammar, logic and rhetoric. The Quadrivium is comprised of arithmetic (number in the abstract), geometry (number in space), music (number in time), and astronomy (number in space-time). At a Jabez Education school, we tailor the curriculum content to a child’s cognitive development by utilizing methods and subject matter which are appropriate for the age of the student and align with their age-related tendencies. 

Collaborative-In a collaborative education model, the teacher and the parents partner together to educate the child in a Christian environment. Professional classroom teachers lead and produce lesson plans designed to bring parents into the academic process. Classroom teachers grade all assignments and tests. The collaborative model also drives a University Style schedule where students attend class approximately half of their academic time in a traditional classroom known as the campus component. The other half of their academic time is spent away from a traditional classroom which is otherwise known as the home component. In this model, very little homework, if any, is required in the evenings or over the weekend. 

S.T.E.M.–We define S.T.E.M as Science, Technology, and Engineering through Mathematics because a true classical education should emphasize Mathematics. The first phase of the Quadrivium is the basic study of numbers, or Arithmetic (and in modern times, Algebra). The second phase of the Quadrivium is the study of numbers in space, which is known as Geometry. The third phase of the Quadrivium is the study of numbers in time, which the ancients called Harmonics, but we know as Music. And finally, the last leg of the Quadrivium is the study of numbers in space-time, which is the study of Astronomy. Astronomy and S.T.E.M. courses are emphasized at our school across all grades. When the Quadrivium is properly emphasized as part of a classical education, classically educated students excel in higher-level math subjects.

Freedom-From our earliest grades to our highest-level history courses, students learn about how the ideas, people, events, dates, and sacrifices that are a part of their American heritage form the foundations of freedom in America. An emphasis is placed on the Christian origins of concepts such as: unalienable rights, freedom itself, and the restraints that are placed on governmental power. Your students will be able to answer questions such as, where do our rights come from? Where does government get its authority? Who first talked about government of, by, and for the people? A secular education won't lead students to ask these questions, but a classical Christian education will and students at our school will find the answers!
