The Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) is a national, not‐for‐profit (501c3) organization that perpetuates the memory of American hero Jackie Robinson by addressing the achievement gap in higher education and, soon, through the Jackie Robinson Museum.

For over 42 years, JRF has provided college and graduate school scholarships as well as leadership development opportunities for highly motivated students of color with limited financial resources. The Foundation is distinctive for the depth of its mentoring program, which results in a consistent nearly 100% graduation rate among the students it serves.

The Foundation also strives to ensure that Jackie Robinson’s commitment to equal opportunity and humanitarianism will be carried forth in the lives of JRF Scholars as they assume leadership roles throughout society. In allof its endeavors and among all of its constituents, the Foundation will continue to promote civic engagement and the humanitarian ideals to which Jackie Robinson dedicated his life.

"Being a Jackie Robinson Scholar is a tremendous honor. It not only means that I am one who will reap the enormous benefits of a man who has helped change the world, but also that I am one who will continue the legacy of impactful humanitarianism; this is both exciting and humbling." – John Bernagene
