Jente Safe Place, Inc

Jenté Safe Place, Inc. (JSP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Maryland that provides temporary housing for victims of physical, mental and emotional abuse (primarily, human trafficking survivors).  

Our mission is to provide relief for survivors of predatory abuse crimes by furnishing a safe and healthy environment for these individuals to regain their independence and rebuild their quality of life.

When you donate,  JSP works toward:

• Addressing the needs of each survivor as they transition from crisis back into society.

• Raising community awareness about Human Trafficking.

• Providing education by facilitating presentations that teach the general public how to identify signs of victims and perpetrators of abuse; moreover, how to take precaution.

According to an article in the CDC up to 27 million people are held in forced/bonded labor or forced prostitution, and an estimated 700,000 children are abused and neglected per year.  On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner as adults and child abuse occurs every 10 seconds.
