Jericho is a nationally-acclaimed nonprofit ending homelessness at its roots by enabling formerly homeless or at-risk individuals and families to lead independent lives. For over 32 years our supportive housing and comprehensive services advancing employment, wellness, and family stability have enabled thousands of homeless and at risk individuals to transform their lives for the better.

From our genesis in 1983 as a small housing program that helped homeless men and women move off the street, Jericho now provides over 500 units of supportive housing at our 7 residences, as well as life-changing services to over 1,600 vulnerable adults and children, including over 550 veterans.

Jericho has always identified our community’s most pressing causes leading to homelessness and has moved quickly to solve them.  Jericho’s visionary Veterans Initiative foresaw the need to serve veterans returning from conflicts abroad as early as 2006.  Since then we have built a groundbreaking program that is tackling the Administration’s goal to end veterans homelessness in NYC this year.
