Listen to what some of our members think about the Mandel Jewish Community Center:

Our Fitness and Wellness Center
Dr. Moises Moschkovich can be found most mornings at the Mandel Jewish Community Center.  Moschkovich spends 45 minutes to an hour making use of The J’s various exercise machines, including those that work the chest, arms, legs and lower back. He also makes use of the free weights and includes as many cardio exercises as he can to ensure that as an older adult wellness is part of his everyday routine.

Our Early Childhood Program
For Kathy and her husband Joshua, the decision to send their kids to the Mandel JCC’s Early Childhood program was an easy one! After just one tour and a conversation with Director Joan Morgenstern, they knew The J was the perfect place for their kids! With its excellent reputation of preparing children for kindergarten and teaching them to respect themselves and their friends and teachers, this program has earned it's two stars from the State of Ohio.

Our Overnight Camping Program at Camp Wise in Chardon
"To give the gift of overnight Jewish camping to our kids is one of the greatest gifts we can give them. Kids are able to find their own identities, figure out their own boundaries, make their own friends and truly become part of the Jewish community." The J ensures that all children are able to to attend summer camp, no matter their parents ability to pay and financial assistance is provided to those families in need.

Our Program for the Frail Elderly
Lunch Plus at Warrensville Community Apartments gives Goldie, a widow who lived an isolated existence when her husband died, something to look forward to on a daily basis. A bus picks her up daily and brings her to a place where she can enjoy a hot meal and socialize with others like her. "It's a miracle ... The J's Lunch Plus program has truly brought me back to life.”

But did you know that one in ten of our members receive financial support to help cover the cost of members due, camp fees or program costs so that they can be part of our community?  Your donation can truly make a difference and help us build and strengthen our community.
