Jirehs Place

Jireh’s Place is an organization that seeks to provide young ladies with the necessary tools for successful living. Having been in existence since 2010, Jireh’s Place has positively impacted the lives of over 100 young girls.   Jireh’s Place currently has two programs that are running simultaneously. A teen program for girls ages 12-17 at Cora Kelly Recreation Center in Alexandria, VA, and a young girls program for 4th & 5th graders.  We have also graduated seven participants from our Young Mother’s Program. We are soon to launch a program which will be housed at the Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Center, in May 2017.

We have enjoyed a very high success rate in our efforts to positively impact the lives of young girls in the Northern Virginia area. Approximately 80% of our participants have shown marked improvement in their grades, over 70% enhanced their decision making processes, and close to 95% of the participants’ now reflect positive self-esteem.

It is our desire to continue to grow and offer our programs to more young girls and provide scholarships to those in need of financial assistance to assist with furthering their education.
