JLB Project founders Mike and Anna LaBenz are proud parents of two beautiful children Jack and Olivia and one little angel, JLB (Jack's Little Brother). Although Mike and Anna walked a lonely road of grief and sorrow when they lost JLB to an umbilical cord accident, they hope JLB Project will change the journey for others who experience the loss of a baby.

How is JLB Project active in the community?

JLB Project fills a need in Northern Arizona that is far too often overlooked. Through their own experience, Mike and Anna felt like things could and should be different for those who have lost a baby. This feeling grew into action - JLB Project. JLB Project offers support to families during their loss and on their journey of learning to live without their baby. We have partnered with Flagstaff Medical Center's grief and bereavement program and offer bi-monthly, psychologist led grief counselling.

How can JLB Project make the journey of loss easier?

JLB Project is there with a family every step of the way. Our services are customized to each family's desires and needs. Our care teams are professional and extremely sensitive to the loss of a child and offer the following services:

• Sitting with a family during their loss.
• A care bag full of resources and keeepsakes for a  family.
• Documentation of a families precious time with their baby through professional photography services.
• Follow up care after a family's loss, including our free bi-monthly Heart Work Grief Group.
• Semi-annual ccouple workshops.

 

Why JLB Project?

Life is uncertain and we know how lonely the road is when you lose a baby. Having a support system of those who can relate to the loss of a child is comforting. JLB Project is here to make that journey of grief a little easier. We hope that our services are not needed; however, we are here if and when tragic circumstances arise.
