CELEBRATING 80 Years in The Valley of The Sun!!

Our Mission:  The Junior League of Phoenix (JLP) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

With over 1,000 members, we are dedicated to providing volunteer service throughout the Valley to positively impact the lives of families and individuals every day.

Dollars we raise go directly to our mission, to our focus on "Building a Healthy Arizona" and directly into our community!

We support critical needs in the community, providing our volunteers with multiple opportunities to positively impact our community such as:

  • Kids in the Kitchen
JLP helps to empower youth to adopt healthy habits and reverse the growth of childhood obesity in Maricopa County. Active lifestyles. Smart food choices. Healthy options. While these phrases infiltrate the media, advertising, and discussions of adults nationwide, these ideas seem abstract and vague to a growing nation-wide demographic- America’s youth. Childhood obesity is an epidemic that threatens the current and future well-being of youth locally and nationally, and Junior League has answered the call with Kids in the Kitchen.
  • Phoenix Rescue Mission
The JLP helps to plan and execute quality early childhood programs and events, parent education, and family literacy programs.
Events would be focused on early childhood education in key development areas such as:
    • Arts Literacy (Creative Writing, Drama, Art and Music)
    • Math curriculum (Math, Finances, and Cooking)
    • Literacy and Character Building
    • Physical fitness and nutrition
  • ROCKETS
Raising Our Children's Knowledge by Educating Through Science - a theme-based early literacy program focused on developing the math and science skills of pre-K children. The program brings hands-on science activities to at-risk children in Maricopa County to help foster problem solving, critical thinking and exploration skills that are critical to future academic success.
  • Snack Pac Backpack
The JLP is partnering with Desert Mission Food Bank to help vulnerable families meet their basic needs via the Snack Pac Backpack Program. These backpacks, filled with specific foods, are handed out every Friday to under-resourced kids on the free breakfast and lunch program. This ensures that these children do not go hungry over the weekend and helps to mentally and emotionally prepare the student for school the following week.
  • Community Impact Projects
The Community Impact projects of the JLP are volunteer, one day projects that support an immediate urgent need in the Valley.

Please donate today and help us continue our legacy of promoting women, making an impact, and serving the community!
