Jordan Education Foundation(JEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to support children in the Jordan School District, their education and our collective future. JEF connects passions with possibilities and creates lasting legacies.
The foundation funds the following programs:
Cash for Classrooms-This grant program is used to fund teachers' innovative and creative classroom projects that enrich standard curriculum and directly enhance learning opportunities for students and encourage business involvement in schools.
The Leader in Me Program- The LIM Program is a school transformation process that teaches students personal leadership and 21st century life skills, such as goal setting, time management, teamwork, problem solving, respecting diversity and life balance.
Low-income Assistance- When students have health concerns that go untreated or are not able to participate in programs enjoyed by peers, their motivation and ability to learn decreases. The Foundation pays for basic health, recreational sport, and high school credit recovery expenses for qualified students.
Student Scholarships-Each year a student from each high school in the school district is nominated for a scholarship to be used towards higher education. Criteria is not based on grades but rather their ability to overcome great odds.
Arts and Literacy- This program produces financial resources for the art and literacy programs in Jordan School District.
Educator Awards-JEF recognizes and honors superior teachers with a track record of improving student achievement, using innovative instruction and making a difference in the lives of their students.
