Hello friends, family and generous supporters,

I have started a Razoo fund raising campaign to help our girls basketball program and I am asking for your help. I have had the pleasure of coaching these girls for the past four years and we continue to improve as players and a team. It costs money, however, to run a competitive program and unfortunately we don’t have much. The greatest expenses for our girls are their spirit packs, tournament fees, and travel costs. There is no money from the school to help and the girls are expected to raise these funds. The difficulty is that these girls play multiple sports and it gets harder and harder for them to continually ask the same people to donate. Our school is also a bit more economically impacted than others, and kids from lower socio-economic backgrounds are not as able to raise funds as those from richer neighborhoods. I have also made the mistake of not charging fines for the girls who have not been able to pay. As my principal told me, “You’re too nice, Olsen.”

Well, I am going to see if being nice pays. I need $7000 to set our program right. If I have been nice to you . . . if you are nice too . . . if I have ever participated in a fund raiser for you (and I have bought my share of chocolate, cookie dough, pizzas, coupon books, potatoes, car washes, etc.) . . . if you are a fan of basketball . . . if you support girls' athletics . . . if you can donate to our campaign in any way, it would mean so much to me.

$20, $10, even a $5 donation would help reach our goal.
