Juanakee Adams Initiative For Excellent Eye Care & Optimum Health

Dr. Juanakee Adams has traveled around the world and seen the dispariity of healthcare services among children, patients that cannot afford basic healthcare services, and those that are uninformed.  For these reasons, Dr. Adams created a platform from which to begin to address some of these deficiencies and address the needs of the underserved in these communities throughout the state and globally.  The goal is simple yet life changing; to educate patients about common diseases with the ultimate goal of preventing and/or leading to the early diagnosis of disease.  Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent visual loss, blindness, and many other health problems.

Many Americans underestimate the importance of having an annual comprehensive eye examination.  Surprisingly, many Americans never consider the health of their eyes until they are unable to see clearly and then begin to acknowledge the "gift of sight".  Many Americans are walking around with undiagnosed diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol because they are not focusing on the overall health of their bodies (1 Cor 3:16; 1 Cor 6:19).  It is an integrative effort in healthcare that requires the help of everyone to promote wellness in every area of our lives, spirit, soul, and body.  We need medical personnel, educators, pastors, church congregants, and you to achieve this global epidemic.

Our mission is to provide quality eye and overall health to areas that are underserved, services rendered at little cost or no cost to patients, use early education to slow the progression of eye problems and other systemic diseases, and form a consortium of excellent health care services locally, nationally, and globally.  We must do everything possible to PRESERVE, RESTORE, and CARE for the gift of sight and achieve optimum health.
