Just Neighbors

The mission of Just Neighbors is to provide high-quality immigration legal services to low-income immigrants, asylees and refugees in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia; and, to build community among clients, staff, volunteers and the larger society through education, advocacy, and volunteerism. 

Last year, Just Neighbors provided immigration legal services to over 420 immigrants in rural areas of Virginia. Since the program began in 2020, we have helped over 1,000 immigrants in our region.

Just Neighbors only serves immigrants, refugees, and asylees that are at 200% or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines. We recognize that traveling to our main office in Northern Virginia is not feasible for many and could cause additional financial burden. By launching the Rural Program with Tori in 2020, Just Neighbors was able to remove that barrier to the immigration system for hundreds of immigrants.
